This month we are highlighting two that have long been favorite haunts of bikers.<\/p>\n

At the "Y" on River Road, North 2 miles from the Texaco Pit Stop on Highway 46 \/ Loop 337 in New Braunfels. The "toobing", canoeing, kayaking, swimming and just splashing capital of Texas is along the Guadalupe River. Add to that some of the best motorcycle roads in the state and you have the formula for a great weekend. The River Road Ice House is smack dab in the middle of all that fun and the bikers know it. It would be difficult to find a time when there isn't at least a few bikes parked out front. Inside is a surprise because this place has just grown and grown.<\/p>\n

The "Dam" has been around for about as long as most Houston bikers and is one of the most popular spots to gather They almost always have something special on the agenda just keep an eye on their website. Free food on Sundays, parties, weddings, benefits, poker runs – there is almost always something going on. The place is a true Ice House complete with garage doors, no AC and ice down drinks. There was even one diehard biker a couple of years ago who left instructions to have his ashes disposed of at the Dam. Talk about "ring around the toilet bowl …" Guess he figured The Dam was the last place he wanted to visit.<\/p>\n
