Annual “Little Dave Run” January 20

Dave Nappo, “Little Dave” was killed on his bike in 1995. Since then, through the co-ordination of his father, Big Dave, and with the support of his many friends, an annual ride has developed to remember Dave and other of our friends who have gone on before.

This year the ride will be January 20 and will leave from the Z-Bar at 10:00 am.

. Z-Bar is just South of Hwy 59 on Hwy 99 (The Grand Pkwy)

This year we have had to add two more friends to the list, Fred de la Garza and “Smiley” Don Brewer.

Plan to be there and be there early – it is always a good time to remember our friends that have been part of, and blessed, our lives.

Gilbert’s New Countyline Ice House has a “jam session” every Sunday starting at 2 pm. This has proven to be very popular and the bikes have really packed the place on Sunday afternoons ever since this started. Don’t forget that Thursday is “$7 Steak Night” Steak, baked potato and salad. All you have to do is cook your own steak.

Houston has a lot of new shops opening and existing shops moving into larger facilities. Recently I was at Confers Custom Cycles and Richard Confers was showing me his personal bike – which is a real showpiece.

Since I have had some less-than-satisfactory experiences with motorcycle paint shop I asked Richard who had done such a superb job on his bike. The answer was Top Cat Customs. I recently had the chance to visit with them. Full Story.
