MadMaps – Get Outta Town!
The movies were in black & white but when the Sheriff said "get outta' town" to the bad guy we all cringed, we knew a shootout was inevitable.
So when I found out that Mad Maps was publishing a series of maps called "Get Outta" Town" I was interested to find out more.
We have written about Mad Maps before (Lone Star Biker, May- June 2004) and fpund their maps to be extremely useful in planning motorcycle trips.
But this new series brings it down from the level of a major trip that requires weeks of planning and many days on the road to simple, convenient day-trip options that originate from major cities.
Generally the COOT maps offer from 5 to 7 loop rides, any one of which can easily be completed in a day. Whether you are a local looking for places to ride near your hometown or you are visiting an area and want to get some riding in these maps will insure that you can have an enjoyable ride.

If you have more time you can easily create your own custom ride by combining 2 or more of the interconnected loops — make it a full weekend of motorcycle fun.
In addition to well-planned ride routes the maps also provide information sections for Roadhouses, Roadside Attractions, Visitor Information and The Great Outdoors (parks, lakes, etc.)
These maps are convenient; each is laminated and easily folds down to a size that will fit most shirt pockets.
