Eye and Face Protection: Use goggles or glasses to protect eyes from wind, dust, dirt, rain, insects, and stones. Make sure eye or face protection is free of scratches, made of material that does not shatter, and gives a clear view to either side.

Throttle and Brakes: Make sure that they work smoothly. Throttle should snap back when let go. Brakes should feel firm and hold motorcycle when applied.

Tires: Check the air pressure and tire condition before every ride. Look for nails, glass, splits, bulges, or gashes on the tread and sidewall areas.

Fluids: Check gas, oil, brake fluid, and coolant.

Lights: Check brake lights, headlights, taillights, and turn signals.

Hydraulic Fluids: At a minimum, Check Hydraulic fluid levels, and sight glass levels weekly.

Mirrors: Clean and adjust both mirrors before starting out.

Horn: Try the horn. Make sure that it works properly.

All items above are critical to your safety, but Brakes or Tires are your lifelines. If either one is becoming noticeably worn, please replace them immediately.
