TAG – You’re IT!
Personality is the name of the game when it comes to a biker and his/her ride.
It’s those little touches, the chrome, the paint job, the ride bell and leather that make it yours and yours alone. One more little touch, for the bucks, is a custom license plate. Obviously, this takes both cash and thought. One state may allow only 4 letters another 7. With these limited alpha and digital characters, a biker can make a statement to all who follow behind.
While admiring the bikes at a recent ride I attended I started noticing these clever “biker billboards” and wondering to myself what the person who chose “BIG ONE” must be like and EXACTLY what was “BIG”? I was impressed with the more original and difficult “H82WORK” (Hate to Work!). Although not too surprised with the expected “MY HOG” and “MY HD98” I was still finding it another piece of enlightenment regarding the owner of the bike. I decided to snap a few of these biker tag lines. Before I realized it had three full discs! And that was a mere faction of the estimated 50,000 bikes in attendance!
So, look for a few of these tags. If you have a unique one on your big, drop an e-mail with a picture of the tag as an attachment and I’ll add it to the bunch!
